Hello Family and Friends or as they say here Sawateekahp (sp?)!
Okay, so my desire to send out periodic updates via email from Thailand was loftier than even I had imagined. We have been here for an entire 7 days, ten hours and we have been extremely busy each day. We have stayed in two cities (Bangkok and Krabi) and will be moving to our third city today - Phuket. I am actually writing in a journal each day as well as Kristin and the kids, but it takes time to maintain each evening or morning or both. Most of you know we have never blogged before, so don't expect any fancy fonts or cartoons to entertain you (this is the wrong site if you need the fancy stuff). I can share my journal entries with anyone when I get home for those of you that enjoy the details (like me - Ron) or for those of you who may decide to take a vacation to Asia in the future. I thought a blog would be the most convenient way to share just a part of our family journey with you.
We LOVE Thailand and all it has to offer. There isn't much here to not like as it is so different and our eyes enjoy a "feast" each day. We do miss our family and friends and wish you could all be here with us as that would be the best! Since that is not possible, hopefully this blog will help for us to share this experience with you. So, check the blog as often or as little as you like. It's one of the blessings of living in America - you can choose almost everything you decide to do each and every day. Also, feel free to pass the elinkowskitrip.blogspot.com website to anyone who may have interest or anyone that asks how we are doing.

The pictures above were of the SanFransisco Bay as we left the United States and then the first sunrise we saw when we woke up in Bangkok.
Best, Ron, Kristin, Adam, Lexi and Anna
Loved the pics!!! How fun to hold monkeys and snakes and pet tigers and ride elephants!! (P.S. How in the world does one get to pet a tiger?? Were they stuffed?)
